I just made a stir fry with Annie Chun's rice noodles and they were fantastic. They are not gritty/gummy like other rice pastas I've had. You just submerge them for a few minutes in hot water and they are done. There was no distinctive Asian flavor to them and I think they would pass perfectly well for wheat pasta if you put spaghetti sauce on them. These were the very thin ones, like angel hair, but I'm looking forward to trying the pad thai width next. I got these at Jimbo's but I think they are cheaper on Amazon. |
Starting July 8, 2011 we removed from Sam's diet: Soy, wheat, corn, sesame, dairy, shrimp, added sugar, sweet fruits like melons and grapes, eggs, white rice, food dyes, and non-organic foods. In January 2012, on advice from our naturopath, we introduced sweet fruits as long as they are in season and organic. Sam is amazing at eating well! July 27, 2013: Mom and daughter are getting on the bandwagon! Oct. 11, 2016: Mom is making even more dramatic changes including no sugar or baked goods....
